020. | I believe in nothing, not the earth and not the stars; I believe in nothing but the beating of our hearts.

Hola! Bit pressed for time, so this post is gonna have to be short. T.T (So busy today!)

Here's what I got over the weekend, shopping in the city (unfortunately, I couldn't buy much since my wallet is still in rehab from after The Christmas Blow):

by Blondo (but mine are black) Got them at a new store in the mall. Can't remember the name (I'm really pathetic at that sort of thing), but they have the CUTEST shoes! Gonna get some heels there for grad, methinks...

Picked up my own copy at Costco, haha. Super stoked to read this! (And drool over the clothing I will never be able to afford, and the dream jobs I will never be able to pursue. T.T)

Yes, I admit, I fall prey to his punny posts, over-the-top-flamboyancy, and scandalous gossip. So sue me!

Gah. My life has fast become one of mundane repetition in the form of studying. T.T Oh well, it'll all be over soon, and then I can post (slightly) more exciting blogs!

015. | In this head, my thoughts are deep; sometimes I can't even sleep.

Hello, all! :D

Time for the Christmas/Boxing Day loot pictures! Thank God I was able to squeeze in some blogging time today...for the next few days I will be busy studying, entertaining a friend who's coming to visit, getting drunk, playing hours upon hours of Rock Band, and doing laundry.

But, who cares, really. Here're the pictchaasz (and I apologize for their size; my connection is slow and refuses to upload anything larger):

From a fortune cookie at my favorite Chinese haunt. (Maybe I should lay off the shortbread? :/ )

My Christmastime nails. Took about 2 hrs, but well worth it. They're cute! :)

My fabu new violent-orange purse! Scored it at a Boxing Day sale for $9 CAD. Golly, I love 50% off! It's even shaped like a bow, perfect for the season.

From the same place, I scored this changepurse and wallet, for $4.50 and $14, respectively. (Unfortunately, the wallet is almost too big for the purse! T.T Bad planning on my part...)

Scored these on Boxing Day, too. $19 CAD. Adorable and warm as hell (made out of wool from New Zealand). Supposed to be owls, but I personally think they look more like deranged bunnies, with those weird ears and all.

A gift from my amazing (if a bit eccentric) Aunt. She said she saw them at a craft sale and "knew" I would love them. She's right! :D

* This one wasn't from Xmas, but wanted to share anyways = > My favorite t-shirt. ^^ The Used = <3 x 2739847329.923472 (approximately) I've seen them live twice, once while being in the mosh pit, and I can honestly say they're the best live performers I've ever seen. LAHVE.

011. | And I suffocated you. I suffocated you. Now I suffocate myself.

---
Padded walls, padded thighs.
I still remember the dress you were wearing last November.
And I sit here, craving, disheveled; dismembered and fragmented, wishing to be whole.
Wishing on stars and cigarette butts, empty bottles.
The smoke rings never fail to say, "I love you."

08. | We are beautiful, no matter what they say. Words can't bring us down.

Thought I'd share a bit of writing with you all. ^^ I scrawl things down when I'm bored/inspired/procrastinating/have nothing better to do, and sometimes it turns out alright. Thoughts?

"Bare Bones"

In the wasteland of America, society trembles.
Cold-hearted leaders are blanketed in holy books
while citizens
shiver.

Garbage from mouths unholy litters the atmosphere,
ideologies lost to much stronger speech.
In the state of oppression, aggression wins every time,
with massive hands, and heads
cracked
open
on the pavement.

With religion used as framework,
organs of obsolete ideals are concealed
by the slithering skin of politicians,
building a private prison of cells containing the masses.
Minorites of blood cells
are destroyed by Disease a la He and She,
and protests are exhaled by the judicial servants,
perfumed by the smoke of foreign armageddon.

We are all walked upon by a higher power;
though not a gift of God,
it presents itself omnisciently,
infilitrating communication to the
point
of
obsoletion...

Now.
We are left with the bare bones
of which philosophers bloomed and ideas grew.
Fruits of knowledge, soured on the tree,
taunt...we cannot reach
out
up
down
6 feet under.

Drained of fight,
busted wings twitch,
hoping for future flight.
